Ghostface is tough to kill, but so was Kirby in Scream 4. The character played by Hayden Panettiere became one of the most iconic in the series for his bravery and humor. That character that begins as “the friend of” and ended up becoming the true heroine of the film, especially when we discovered who Ghostface really was at the end of the fourth installment.
Although he did not come out of his encounter with the masked killer completely unscathed , the truth is that Kirby managed to be one of the few survivors of Scream 4. And it is that it has just been confirmed that Hayden Panettiere has signed to join the cast that already makes up a good part of the cast of the previous installment, namely: Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding or Jenna Ortega among others. All this in a film that will begin shooting this summer and is expected to be ready by March 2023.
Fans won’t be the only ones appreciative of this return, as Panettiere hasn’t had many film and television appearances since playing Kirby. The actress who started from a very young age and starred in teen movies like Hero in stripes or I love you, Beth Cooper has hardly had a role in recent years, that of Juliette Barnes in the series Nashville .
